Grooming, Style and Appearance
Much that you might find the idea ludicrous, throughout your life you will be judged. In an Image Perception Chart, people formed their immediate perception based on the following:
- 55% on your appearance
- 38% on your manner, voice, etiquette
- Only 7% on your verbal (words you say)
There are few reasons why some people do not take care of their appearance:
- They are too lazy.
- They think it is a waste of valuable time that could be devoted to more important things.
- They are married with children and do not feel the necessity to present themselves but failed to understand the significance of admiration from their spouses.
- They have lost touch from their social interaction and no opportunity to be invited to occasions thus lost their self-esteem.
- You do not attach much value to anyone opinions and eventually being left behind being self-opinioned.
Neither of these excuses has any validity. We are all social animals and can therefore expected to interact with others anytime, anywhere.
Grooming, Style & Appearance
Men
- Fundamental grooming of body, face, hair, hands, feet, beards, moustaches and facial hair for the men. The use of after-shave, cologne or deodorants.
- Caring of your clothes, footwear, socks and accessories like ties, belts, bags etc.
Ladies
- The art of natural make-up to enhance your appearance and not to conceal it.
- Perfume and the use of associated products to create pleasant scent.
Both
- Substitution of basic colors such as black, white, beige over enchanting colors that speak of you.
- Define your best colors and how to wear them with good taste.
- Appropriate dress codes for the occasions and special events like weddings or company’s dinner.
- Contemporary etiquette and the art of giving comments.
- Posture and poise and the way you present yourself negate your personality traits.
- The art of making your relationship last or simply hi/bye.
- Shape you towards an attractive persona.
